The home is an extension of the body, and a reflection of the mind…

A living room balancing elements of wood, fire, earth and metal.

As an environment that we have direct, personal control over, our homes are shaped both consciously and unconsciously by our habits, thoughts and daily activities. This influence is reciprocal; whether we are aware of it or not, our bodies are constantly reacting to the home, even when outside. A creative process of constant exchange, simple existence within a space constructs a physical reflection of our inner world and so, in this sense, the boundary between ourselves and the home becomes less distinct.

Feng Shui is a framework and a perspective that offers great potential for identifying the source of challenges and of opportunity; the ability to attune the individual to their environment, through recognition of space and form, cultivated over thousands of years. It is a system in agreement with principles of environmental psychology and neuroscience: when a person feels fully supported and aligned with their environment, inspiration, direction and motivation are far easier to come by.

Feng Shui translates to “wind water”. It is the study of the relationship between emptiness and matter, and the art of supporting self-actualisation via the environment.

The qi of the home is the essence of our wellbeing, our state of mind, our dreams and pursuits.

About Me

Hello, my name is Amber. I am probably the dictionary definition of a homebody. I regard my home as a sanctuary; it’s where I retreat to find solace, recharge, and nurture my soul. I believe every abode has the potential to provide this sense of stability and security. It’s this sensibility for balance that drew me to feng shui and has since moved me to offer my service to those who feel a lack of control or contentment in their immediate environment, or to those who feel something is holding them back. I have undergone classical training in both modern and traditional methods, and am accredited with the International Feng Shui Guild.
